For over 25 years, Mark Evans and Charley Brown have created spectacular hand
painted and digital murals in hotels, public spaces, and private residences
around the world. Recent projects include the Wynn and Encore in Las Vegas,
the Montage Hotel in Los Angeles, the Atlantis, the Palm, Resort in Dubai,
and the Four Seasons Resort in Maui. Major public artworks include murals
for the Smithsonian Institute, the Childrens Library in Almaden in California,
the San Francisco Library, and the US Embassy in Cyprus.
Utilizing a contemporary approach and classical technique, Evans & Brown
creates murals in an unlimited range of styles, each individually created to
suit its context. From the swirling fantasy of the Pan-Pacific Hotel in
Yokohama to the 1940s-style film tribute at Sony Entertainment in Culver City,
Evans & Brown interprets the styles of a couple of millennia of art. From
the billow of fabric or the street grit of grafitti, whether it be Hawaiian kapa
cloth, a Chinese silk scroll, abstract expressionism or a Pompeian fresco. Greek
vase painting? Done. Art Deco? Done. WPA naturalism? Done. Trompe l′oeil?
Contemporary minimalism? Matisse collage? Done, done, and done. Take a look at the online
gallery to see the full scope of the Evans & Brown portfolio.
Evans & Brown is a "hands on" operation, an atelier in the tradition of Rubens and Andy Warhol.
Every project is designed by Mark Evans and Charley Brown and executed by Brown
and a small staff of assistants, all accomplished artists in their own right.
In addition to custom murals, Evans & Brown designs a line of printed fabrics with Hunter-Douglas
as well as a highly successful line of contract and hospitality wallcoverings for Koroseal. |
